Retail Food Industry Working Group

EMD hosts a working group of food facility owners, regulators and interested parties. This group is called the Retail Food Industry Working Group.

This group meets once a month to discuss food safety issues related to the retail food industry in Sacramento County. Currently the food industry group includes representatives from a variety of large and small businesses.

Group participants have the opportunity to receive informat​ion and provide input regarding new laws and proposed legislation that impact the retail food industry.  Participants are also encouraged to provide feedback about the EMD retail food inspection program and discuss issues pertaining to food safety.

Meetings are usually held third Tuesday of every month from 3:00-4:00 pm at the EMD office:
