The Environmental Protection Division of the Sacramento County Environmental Management Department has been designated by the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal-EPA) as the Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA) for Sacramento County. As the CUPA, the Hazardous Materials Division is responsible for implementing six statewide environmental programs for Sacramento County. These include:
