Program Fee Schedule for 2026-2027

The Sacramento County Environmental Management Department (EMD) has completed a comprehensive, independent, 3rd party fee analysis as relates to the cost of permits and services. The proposed fee schedule was approved by the County Board of Supervisors on April 28, 2026 and is effective July 1, 2026. We encourage you to review the effective fee schedule to understand your rates.

EMD fulfills its mission to protect public health and the environment through programs mandated both by state law and local ordinances. These regulations help ensure compliance with standards for food safety, hazardous materials management, public recreational pools and spas, body art, water quality safety and many other areas of environmental health and environmental protection.

EMD is required to recover the costs of these mandated programs by permit and service fees rather than the County General Fund. We take the impacts that fees have on our regulated community seriously and make every effort to minimize costs and utilize technology to streamline processes and enhance customer service.
