Mission
The mission of the Sacramento County Environmental Management Department is to protect public health and the environment by ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. In order to achieve compliance, EMD provides Sacramento County businesses and residents with education, training, inspection and enforcement.
EMD is a part of Sacramento County Health Services Agency, which provides local, state and federally mandated services and programs to the citizens of the seven cities and the unincorporated areas of the Sacramento County.
