Richard Hunn

Richard Hunn was appointed to the SEC by Sacramento County in February, 2014. Richard holds a M.S. Degree in Conservation of Natural Resources and has over 30 years consulting experience in natural resources planning and environmental compliance. During this time, he worked on a variety of projects focusing on water resources management and infrastructure development.

Mark White

Mark White owns an environmental consulting firm that provides services related to the management of recyclables and solid waste for garbage companies and local jurisdictions. His firm prepares reports and analyses required by the State of California. The firm has also worked in Hawaii on projects to locate a new landfill for the island of Oahu (City and County of Honolulu) and for the island of Kauai, a project to evaluate shipping waste from Maui to the mainland or to Oahu to be incinerated, and for island of Hawaii to prepare a recycling plan for a large high end development.

Christine Casey PhD is originally from the East Coast. She came to California in 2011 for a post-doctoral fellowship at UC San Diego. She transitioned to science policy through a fellowship with the California Council on Science and Technology and was placed in the Senate Transportation and Housing Committee. Christine has worked at the Department of Finance covering environmental policy/budgets, and she now holds a position as a consultant with the Assembly Transportation Committee. She lives in the city of Sacramento with her husband, two children, dog, cat, and 3 chickens.

Jonathan Gage Marchini

Jonathan Gage Marchini is an attorney with White Brenner LLP, where he represents public agencies, water districts, and private clients in water rights, groundwater adjudications, CEQA compliance, land use matters, and environmental regulatory proceedings. Raised in California’s San Joaquin Valley, he brings both legal expertise and firsthand agricultural insight to issues involving the state’s evolving water landscape.

He is the author of a published law review article on California water data policy and holds a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, with a Certificate in Water and Environmental Law. He was named a 2023 Top Lawyer in General Litigation by Sacramento Magazine and currently serves on the Sacramento Environmental Commission and the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Garden & Arts Center.​

Megan Reichert

Megan Reichert, DNP, MS, RN has been a Registered Nurse for about 15 years. She cares deeply about the intersection between climate change and health. Megan has lived in Sacramento for more than 10 years and has completed two graduate nursing programs in the region. Megan champions sustainability projects at her place of employment as often as able, including decommissioning centrally piped nitrous oxide in the peri-operative setting. She is a wife and stepmom and can be found swimming, hiking, reading, or volunteering in her free time. Fun fact: The Reichert home is completely electrified and solar powered!

Dr. Anthony DeRiggi

Anthony DeRiggi, MD is a retired pediatrician and resident of Sacramento since 1978. He started and led the Environmental Stewardship Program for Kaiser-Permanente in the Sacramento-Roseville area.  He is a member of the Sierra-Sacramento Valley Medical Society Public and Environmental Health Committee, and serves on the board of Protect American River Canyons and the Sacramento Chapter of Physicians for

Social Responsibility.  He was a volunteer Mile Steward for the American River Parkway Foundation for over 15 years, and enjoys biking and kayaking on the American River Parkway.

Stephanie Holstege

Stephanie Holstege is a Senior Environmental Scientist with the State of California, currently working for the State Water Resources Control Board, and previously with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. She holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy, and a master's degree in Environmental Science and Management, with a concentration in Fish and Wildlife Management. Stephanie also serves as a Global Youth Mentor with Plastic Tides, where she assists youth leaders in planning and implementing projects to reduce plastic waste in their communities and raise awareness about the plastic pollution crisis. Additionally, Stephanie is an ambassador for eXXpedition, a multidisciplinary group of women researching and bringing attention to plastic pollution. Stephanie also serves on the Board of Directors and as Secretary for Tree Davis. Born and raised in Sacramento, Stephanie is excited about the opportunity advocate for environmental initiatives and policies that improve the community.

Jacqueline Todak

​Jacqueline Todak ​​​Roden PMP is a Project Manager at Jacobs and has spent nearly a decade leading and delivering multi-disciplinary projects and major programs focused on expanding and improving the resiliency of public infrastructure, primarily to support water conveyance, treatment, and storage. She holds a dual master's in Environment and Natural Resources and International Studies from the University of Wyoming and a bachelor's degree in Operations Management from Washington State University. Originally from Washington, she has called Northern California home since 2015, is active in multiple professional organizations, and spends much of her free time traveling overseas and exploring the Sierras with her husband and dog.​​​

Eugene Lee

​Eugene Lee is passionate about sustainable equitable communities.  Retired from the California Energy Commission, he supervised teams working to advance energy efficiency, energy benchmarking, and building decarbonization in the built environment.  As an Assistant Tribal Liaison, he promoted clean energy equity in disadvantaged communities and tribal lands.  He has successfully launched and overseen the implementation of several state programs: the California Building Energy Benchmarking Program, the Infill Infrastructure Grant Program, the Transit-Oriented Development Housing Program, and the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program, a Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) program.  Born in Sacramento, he proudly serves as Board Treasurer for Sacramento Splash, a local child environmental education non-profit, a Climate Ambassador for the City of Elk Grove, a UC Davis Alumni career advisor, and a climate professional for #OpenDoorClimate.
